Ian Walters

UK Operations Director - Ceridian

Areas of responsibility

Ian has worked for Ceridian for over 34 years and has recently taken responsibility for our new Centre of Excellence in Glasgow. Our purpose built Glasgow centre currently has over 300 colleagues covering most of our service offerings and we plan to grow that significantly over the next three years. Ian has spent all his career in the payroll environment and is currently the Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals

Iain McGregor

Programme Director

Iain joined Ceridian in 2009 and after initially running the IT Outsourcing Programme was moved to head the large M&S HR Transformation Programme. Iain has extensive experience in Senior IT roles with a number of companies primarily in the Telecommunications and Retail sectors. His focus now is to build on the strong foundation we have established within M&S and deliver first class solutions that meets their business needs and therefore increase our value to M&S as a key supplier.

Amanda Walker

Head of HRO

Areas of Responsibility

Ceridian’s HRO team is responsible for the growth, development and account management of Ceridian’s major HRO customers and prospective clients.

My role is to develop and lead the HRO team to provide the best sales experience in the industry by demonstrating knowledge, experience and innovation to support organisations in developing business cases and solutions to support their strategic objectives.

Background

Amanda joined Ceridian in 2001, prior to Ceridian she gained a wealth of knowledge and experience in a number of sales and account management roles. During the last ten years, she has been key to the development of Ceridian’s sales strategy and HR Outsourcing proposition. Having been the sales lead on securing two of Ceridian’s most instrumental HRO clients, she moved into the position of Head of HRO Sales at the beginning of 2011.

She holds a BSc Hons degree in Business Studies from Salford University.

Sarah Hall

Head of Major Accounts

Areas of responsibility

As Head of Major Accounts, Sarah is responsible for managing, developing and strengthening the relationships within Ceridian’s flagship customers. Sarah’s focus is to continue to identify and deliver areas of future value for these customers.

Background

Sarah joined Ceridian in 2008. Previously she worked at Xpert HR as a sales manager responsible for building and managing sales and customer service teams. Prior to joining Xpert HR, Sarah held a number of sales and sales management positions for Caudwell, Hays and General Electric.

She holds a BA Hons degree in Business Studies from Derby University.

Sonia Dempster

Consulting Director

Areas of responsibility

In her role as Consulting Director, Sonia’s responsibilities will include leading the Ceridian UK Consultancy practice of Payroll, HR and Technical Consultants as well as Project and Programme Managers. Overseeing a portfolio of projects and programmes ensuring our product implementations at our customer sites follow best practice and governance methodologies to ensure timely delivery to cost and quality.

Background

Sonia joined Ceridian in 2010. Previously she worked at Siemens IT Solutions and Services, BBC Technology and KPMG Consulting and has gained experience within global IT Solutions, outsourcing and consulting environments. She has delivered significant business benefits through organisational transformation, IT Systems Implementation and core process optimisation. With experience of working in the UK, US, South Africa and France she has also obtained insight into insurance, media and telecoms sectors, building strong engagement and interpersonal skills.

She holds a BA Hons degree in Business Studies from Thames Valley University.

Steve Hawley

Operations Director

Areas of responsibility

As Operations Director, Steve is responsible for three of the UK’s operational centres – Manchester, Leeds and Limerick. Steve joined Ceridian in the year 2000, and has a breadth of experience within the payroll and HR services arena. Working closely with Ian Walters, Steve is heavily focussed on driving efficiency within the operations business and providing our customers with an enhanced more modern experience.

Stuart Stephen

Director of Solutions

Areas of responsibility

As Director of Solutions Stuart has a passion for finding synergies across Ceridian’s people, process and technologies to drive tangible and measureable business benefits to our clients. An MBA qualified Chartered Engineer, Stuart has driven the growth in our Glasgow SONAS location since joining Ceridian four years ago after an earlier career in consultancy, project management and sales with BAA and IBM.

Peter Howley

Commercial Director

Areas of responsibility

Peter joined Ceridian in April 2008 and is responsible for Ceridian’s UK and international growth strategy.

“My role is to ensure Ceridian identifies and delivers value for its UK and international customers. We work closely with our customers to understand their business and the opportunities to change. Understanding a customers business provides a foundation to build an innovative solution with a clear robust business case.”

“Ceridian’s International Services has a global footprint of 50 countries, serviced through a multi lingual shared service centre. The shared service centre controls the delivery of a customers international payroll requirements and provides a single point of contact for performance and consolidated management information.”

Background

Prior to joining Ceridian Peter held a variety of positions including operations, sales and commercial with Hays BPO, a specialist subsidiary of Hays Plc, delivering onshore and offshore business processes for blue chip organisations. Peter holds a BA (honours) from Leeds Metropolitan University.
