The latest release of our integrated HR & Payroll Software-as-a-Service Solution, Ceridian HRevolution, has given us a great excuse to get out and about talking to HR, Payroll and Finance teams, to showcase how our solution can help with the challenges they are facing when it comes to controlling and reducing cost.
Technology is now an even greater enabler in the fight to manage costs more effectively, and gain further control over processes and policies.
With a powerful workforce management solution, HR, Operations and Finance functions can be much better aligned to effectively manage rostering, based on availability, skills, location and role, whilst also ensuring opportunities for tax optimisation are realised by monitoring contractual hours, overtime and absence. Through intelligent integration with payroll, this also drives greater accuracy into the process – it reduces errors, data entry and payroll queries from employees.
Similarly, with an expense management system, authorisation limits can be easily set and adjusted according to job role, bottle-necks in the process are quickly identified, and rules around spend tightly controlled – bringing down expense bills and speeding up payments for employees.
The fast approaching impact of Pension Reform presents an increase in people costs for almost all organisations, and for the HR and Payroll team, a new administrative burden to manage. Like payroll, get it right, and no-one will notice, but get it wrong and you’ll have your employees, employer and the HMRC to contend with.
We believe that payroll is at the heart of Pension Reform, so developing a solution that manages the auto-enrolment process of employees has been a key component of our product development in 2012.David Woodward, Chief Product and Innovation Officer
At a recent Pension Briefing event, some of our customers expressed apprehension over how prepared their organisations are for the forthcoming changes. Having an integrated solution that looks professional, gives employees the Self Service tools they need to manage the opt-in and opt-out process, and aligns directly with the payroll system so the right deductions can be made, brings a huge sigh of relief to the Payroll and HR departments managing these changes.
Instead of churning out the same old stats on absence, number of leavers, or staff churn, better integration and a new HR Analytics module enables HR leaders to produce more insightful and predictive Management Information.
This means decisions on everything from salary increases, to succession planning or redundancies can be based on factual evidence and not opinion or assumption. High performers within the organisation can be identified on performance appraisal scores, attendance, job role, salary, location…or any criteria required that’s held in the system.
What’s more, through Self Service tools and complete control over access levels, other departments and senior managers can access the reports themselves.
