Meet the team: Isabel Rodriguez - Operations Team Manager - International Services

Isabel Rodriguez

This month, we talk to Ceridian’s 2012 colleague of the month for January, Isabel Rodriguez, an Operations Team Manager of International Services at our SONAS office in Glasgow.

Isabel was nominated by her colleagues, for her passion, unwavering energy and outstanding commitment to her role. Here’s what Isabel’s nomination said:

It is so nice to work with someone who is constantly working hard to make things better, who is always available to help and provides a good service. Isabel always has a smile, is fun and approaches everything with a positive attitude even in difficult situations. She knows how to reach people and how to deal with different personalities.

We asked Isabel some questions about her role at Ceridian:

When did you join Ceridian?

I joined Ceridian in October 2010. At the time, the International department was based in Potters Bar, so I transitioned with the team to Glasgow – a challenging move, but one that has been good for the team and our customers.

Working with International Customers, do you speak more than one language?

Spanish is my mother tongue but I am fluent in English, Catalan, medium French, and know some basic Italian. I like being able to use my languages with our customers and partners – it definitely helps with communication and building successful relationships.

How many International customers do you serve?

As a whole, we currently have cover 200 customers. Split between other Operations Team Manager’s, my team is responsible for just over 50 customers, managing over 600 payrolls. As more organisations use Ceridian as their single supplier for global payroll, this number keeps growing.

What are your main responsibilities?

I am responsible for leading and managing seven Customer Relationship Executives (CREs) in our multilingual/multicultural team. The CREs are the main point of contact for customers, and my role is to help them achieve excellent service delivery. This includes setting and measuring individual and team objectives, identifying any skills gaps, and organising or providing appropriate training to enable team members to make the best contribution they can to the business.

I also work closely with our customers and our partners assuring a timely, accurate and efficient payroll processing in the countries that we operate.

What’s the most enjoyable aspect?

The part of the job that I enjoy the most is assisting the team and making their job easier and more enjoyable – which ultimately makes a difference to our customers and partners.

Ceridian provides global payroll services in nearly 70 countries, helping international businesses stay compliant, gain more control and improve cost management. For more information, contact our International Services team on 0800 0482 737.
