Mike Blackmore joins Ceridian UK as Chief Finance Officer

14 May 2007

Mike Blackmore has joined Ceridian in the UK as chief finance officer reporting to managing director, Doug Sawers.  Mike will be responsible for maintaining the financial robustness of the business, delivering accurate real-time financial analysis for enhanced management decision-making and optimising the overall financial contribution of the company.  He replaces Andy Botha who has been appointed chief operating officer.

Commenting on the appointment, Doug Sawers said: “Mike has an impressive track record in senior finance positions and will prove more than capable of building on the excellent foundations established by his predecessor, Andy Botha who wished to broaden his senior management experience in an operational role.  Commercially-minded, Mike is a strategically-focused finance director with a strong background in researching and analysing profitable business opportunities.”

Mike Blackmore joins from Iveco UK, a Fiat Group subsidiary with a turnover of £400m, where he was finance director for the past five years.  Overall, Mike has over 20 years of senior finance experience, including spells as finance director of Ladbrokes UK, director, international finance of Rosenbluth International and finance director of Hertz UK.

Aged 50, Mike Blackmore holds a BSc Administrative Science degree and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
