Podcast Guide

Ceridian is pleased to be able to offer you an exclusive new podcast, bringing you HR information in audio format. To simplify your listening experience, we have created this guide.

What is a podcast?

A podcast is a series of audio files, usually .mp3 files, which are available on the Ceridian website for downloading or streaming. The content of a podcast usually comes in the format of a radio program, and typical podcast episodes last between ten and thirty minutes.

Ceridian's podcast is freely available: we will regularly feature conference speakers and interviews, keeping you abreast of the latest developments in the HR industry.

How should I access the Ceridian podcast?

There are several different ways of accessing our podcast: you can listen directly, download episodes to your computer, subscribe to the podcast, or a combination of these three. We have provided support for the following five popular methods:

1. Listening directly in your web browser
This link will stream the episode immediately using Flash Player - You can pause and continue playback as desired. This may require a fairly fast internet connection.
2. Listening using your preferred media player
This link will stream the episode using your default media player, such as iTunes®, Windows Media™ Player or RealPlayer®. Depending on your software, you may be able to save the .mp3 file to your computer once it has fully streamed.
3. Downloading the .mp3 file to your computer
Depending on your browser settings, clicking on this link will prompt you to download the .mp3 file, or begin streaming using QuickTime®. If it does not, most browsers will allow you to right-click and choose 'Save Target As...', allowing you to save the file to your computer. You can then transfer the .mp3 file on to your iPod® or mp3 player, so that you can listen to it away from your computer.
4. Subscribing to the podcast using any podcatcher or RSS aggregator
Podcasts are distributed through RSS feeds. This means that if you have an RSS aggregator program (or specifically for podcasts, a 'podcatcher'), you will be instantly informed when a new episode is online, and the program will usually download new episodes automatically for you.

Specialised podcatchers include:

The method for subscribing to podcasts is the same as for any RSS feed. For further information on how to use RSS feeds, see our RSS guide.
5. Subscribing to the podcast using iTunes
If you are using iTunes as your media player, you can instantly subscribe to the Ceridian podcast using this link.

For each episode you will see a series of buttons like the ones below. The first three options relate to that specific podcast episode, while the final two subscription options relate to the entire podcast series
