CyberTowerWhen we arrived in Mauritius in 2000, we found an infrastructure that was perfect for Oracle IT Development. In 2002, we started working with a handful of customers, performing data entry tasks for managed payroll services. This latter activity has expanded thanks to the following conditions:

  • A stable government willing to invest in Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO)
  • Significant infrastructure development
  • A stake in the SAFE optical transatlantic cable back to Europe
  • Working hours close to those of the UK

We decided very quickly that Mauritius was ideal for our offshore operations, and today we have over 300 people working at the hi-tech surroundings of the Ebene CyberTower, 15 minutes’ drive from the capital of Mauritius, Port Louis.

The building won the “Intelligent Building of the Year” award in 2005 at the Intelligent Community Forum in New York. It houses a cutting edge collocation centre in its Network Operations Centre, and an optic fibre serves every office.
