50 days to go to the HR Top 100 Most Influential

There are just 50 days to go and counting before the names of the first Human Resources Top 100 Most Influential are revealed at a ceremony in central London on May 31. Launched in HR magazine's February 2006 issue, the Top 100 Most influential is sponsored by Ceridian, one of the largest providers of human resource services in the world.

We are delighted to be associated with this brand new initiative to determine the people who have made the biggest impact in HR terms on business success. The Top 100 Most Influential is likely to compose a mix of captains of industry, HR directors, academics, authors and independent consultants. Even more interesting will be to see the gender split among the top 100, the degree of board representation among HR personnel and the changing roles as reflected by job title.

It is vitally important that the HR function is seen to understand and be making a measurable contribution to business strategy. HR needs to identify the people implications of business strategy and deliver the right capability in terms of programme, process or talent to achieve the desired results for business. At Ceridian, we are committed to delivering innovative, integrated HR solutions so that our customers are free to concentrate on succeeding in their core business. Doug Sawers, Managing Director of Ceridian in the UK

Those who have made it onto the list will determine the Human Resources Top 100 Most Influential ranking. The Top 100 will be invited to vote for the people on the list who inspire them the most, with the winner and rankings revealed on May 31 and published in the June 2006 issue of HR.
