Ceridian Corporation names Kathryn V Marinello President and Chief Executive Officer

Ceridian Corporation has announced that it has appointed Kathryn V Marinello president and chief executive officer, effective 20 October 2006. Ms Marinello, most recently president of General Electric Fleet Services, will succeed Ronald L Turner. She will be elected to the Ceridian board of directors at the next meeting of the board.

Marinello brings a consistent history of operational excellence and revenue generation to Ceridian. She joined GE in 1997 with extensive experience in financial services marketing and operations, including positions at First Data Corporation, First Bank System, Chemical Bank and Citibank. She also served as president of GE Capital's Consumer Financial Services business.

Her most recent role as president and CEO of GE Fleet Services included overseeing over 3,000 employees in 20 countries around the world, a division that by itself is among the top 20 companies by revenue in Minnesota, USA, where Ceridian Corporation is headquartered.

Her many accomplishments included being recognised as an Industry Leader by The Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal at its ninth annual Women in Business awards event this year. She is on the board of directors of the Greater Twin Cities United Way and the Minnesota Business Partnership.

Marinello holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts from the State University of New York at Albany, USA and a Master's degree in Business from Hofstra University, USA.
