Simon Parsons, Payroll and Legislation Product Manager at Ceridian, has been named 'Person of the Year' at the Institute of Payroll Professionals (IPP) 2006 Awards. The award is presented to an individual, of any grade, who has significantly contributed to the payroll or pension profession over a period of time.

Simon Parsons' citation read: "The judges were impressed by Simon's contribution as a champion of the payroll MSc, acting as a mentor to the programme offered by the University of Derby in association with the IPP. The key issue which most influenced the judging panel was Simon's mature contribution to consultation with government, particularly in helping to move forward from potentially difficult situations, and smoothing over the sharp edges between government needs and employers' challenges."

We are delighted that Simon has received this significant accolade. He is a highly respected authority in the field and a valuable member of our management team. Ceridian has the highest proportion of IPP qualified service delivery staff in the UK and Simon is one of seven holders of an MSc in payroll management employed at Ceridian.Doug Sawers, Managing Director of Ceridian in the UK
